Find answers to the most important questions about our tools.
Yes, all tools on Stagetixx are 100% free – and will stay that way. There are no hidden costs, no premium versions with additional features, and no paid subscriptions. You get full access to all functions without ever paying a cent.
We finance ourselves exclusively through discreet advertisements on our pages. These ads are placed so they don't disturb your work, but help us finance the development and operation of the tools. Servers, development time, and maintenance cost money – and advertising allows us to offer everything for free.
If you'd like to support us additionally, we appreciate a small donation via PayPal. However, this is completely voluntary. Alternatively, you can simply disable your ad blocker for our site – that helps us enormously too.
Our goal is to make professional tools for the event industry accessible – regardless of budget.
No, you don't need to register! You can use all our tools immediately – without an account, without an email address, and without providing any personal data. Simply open the desired tool and start working right away.
This approach is deliberate. We believe that good software shouldn't have barriers. In a time when almost every website asks for your email address before you can even try something, we want to be different. With us, functionality comes first – not collecting user data.
Since all data is stored locally in your browser, we don't need user accounts anyway. There's no server where your projects would be stored. Everything stays with you – on your device, under your control.
The only downside: If you want to use the tool on another device, you'll need to manually export and import your data. But for most users, the benefits outweigh this: maximum privacy, instant access, and no annoying login forms.
All modern browsers are fully supported: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We recommend always using the latest version of your browser – this ensures all functions work optimally.
Our tools are based on modern web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. These standards have been supported by all common browsers for years. You don't need any plugins, extensions, or additional software.
For the best experience, we recommend desktop browsers. While the tools generally work on tablets and smartphones, some functions – especially in complex tools like EventMaster Pro – are optimized for larger screens. Kanban views and drag-and-drop functions are simply more enjoyable on a desktop.
Older browsers like Internet Explorer are not supported. If you're still using an older browser, now is a good time for an update.
Your data is stored exclusively locally in your browser – specifically in the storage technologies LocalStorage and IndexedDB. This means: Your projects, settings, and all other information never leave your computer. We have no access to your data.
This concept is called "Local-First" and offers you maximum privacy. Unlike cloud services where your data resides on external servers, with Stagetixx you remain the sole owner of your information. No privacy concerns, no terms of service with mysterious usage rights.
LocalStorage is a component of every modern browser and stores data permanently – even when you close the browser window or restart the computer. The data remains until you manually delete it.
Important: The data is tied to a specific browser on a specific device. If you switch browsers, you'll need to export your projects first and import them in the other browser.
If you clear your browser cache or browser data, unfortunately your Stagetixx projects will be lost! This is the most important point when using our tools. Since we don't offer server storage, there's no way to recover deleted data.
Therefore, we strongly recommend creating regular backups. Each of our tools has an export function that saves all your project data in a file. You can store this file on your computer, in a cloud service, or on a USB stick.
A good rhythm is: Export your data at least once a week – or directly after any major changes to your projects. The export only takes a few seconds and can save you a lot of trouble in an emergency.
Some browsers also offer the option to exclude certain websites when clearing the cache. Check your browser settings to see if this option is available.
Yes, your data is very secure with Stagetixx – for a simple reason: It never leaves your device. Since all data is stored exclusively locally in your browser, there's no server that could be hacked.
The "Local-First" concept offers a fundamental security advantage: The attack surface is minimal. As long as your own device is secure (current operating system, antivirus, secure passwords), your Stagetixx data is also secure.
There's no transmission of sensitive data over the internet. When you open a tool, only the website itself is loaded – your project data stays in the browser. This is different from cloud services where data is continuously transmitted.
Of course, with sensitive project data, you should follow basic security measures: Only use your own trusted devices, create regular backups, and only share project exports with people you trust.
Yes, you can collaborate with other people! The method works through our export/import function: You export your project as a file and share it via a cloud service like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive with your colleagues.
The other person can then import the file in their browser and immediately access all project data. If they edit the project, they can export again and send you the updated version.
This workflow is especially suitable for projects where multiple people don't need to work simultaneously. For bands planning setlists together, for event teams working on a project one after another, or for wedding planners exchanging documents with couples.
Tip: Name your export files meaningfully with date or version number (e.g., "Wedding-Miller_2024-03-15_v2.json"). This avoids confusion about which version is current.
No, real-time synchronization like Google Docs or Notion currently doesn't exist at Stagetixx. This is due to our fundamental concept: Our tools are "Local-First" – all data stays on your device, and there's no central server for synchronization.
This is a deliberate decision. Real-time synchronization would mean we'd have to store your data on our servers. That would eliminate many advantages of the Local-First approach: full data control, maximum privacy, and offline usage.
For collaboration, we recommend the export/import workflow instead: Export your project, share the file via a cloud service of your choice, and the other person can import it. This works reliably without compromising privacy.
For the future, we have ideas for optional, end-to-end encrypted synchronization – but currently our focus is on core features. If you have specific wishes, feel free to write us!
There are several ways to support Stagetixx! The simplest method costs you nothing: Just recommend us to others. The more users we have, the better we can maintain our service.
If you'd like to support us financially, we appreciate a donation via PayPal ([email protected]). Every amount helps – whether €2 or €20. Stagetixx is a small, independent project. Your donation goes directly into server costs and development.
You can also support us by recommending Stagetixx. Tell colleagues, band members, or other people in the event industry about our tools. The more people use Stagetixx, the better we can operate and improve the platform long-term.
Have an idea for a new tool or feature? Write us an email! We appreciate constructive feedback from the community. Every form of support is valued!
If you've found a bug or error, please write us an email at [email protected]. We take bug reports very seriously and strive to fix problems as quickly as possible.
To help us understand the error, it helps if you include the following information: Which tool is affected? What exactly did you do before the error occurred? What error message was displayed? Which browser and operating system are you using?
Screenshots are worth their weight in gold! A picture often says more than a thousand words. If you can take a screenshot of the error, it helps us enormously with diagnosis. On Windows use Windows+Shift+S, on Mac use Cmd+Shift+4 for quick screenshots.
We usually respond within a few days. Sometimes we can fix errors immediately, sometimes we need more time – but every reported bug is addressed. Thank you for your help!
